Former Prime Minister Ludovic Orban welcomed the Constitutional Court's decision to reject the request regarding the unconstitutionality of the magistrates' pension law, stating that the ruling represents a "crucial decision" not only by validating the reform but also by marking the emergence of a new majority within the CCR.
Orban emphasized that the narrow vote, 5 to 4 regarding the amount of pensions, shows that "a majority has formed that no longer responds to the commands of the system" and that could prevent, in the future, the blocking of reforms. He named the judges who voted to reject the objection and stated that they resisted significant pressures.
