Romania is facing an underfunded healthcare system, and underfunding in oncology leads to delays in diagnosis and treatment, a lack of medical staff, and reduced access to services. FABC warns that every leu cut from health can mean lost lives, especially for cancer patients. The Federation calls on the authorities for clarifications regarding intentions related to the Health budget and guarantees that funds will not be diverted. FABC emphasizes that health should not be a tool in political games and that it is a fundamental right that must be protected. Nicușor Dan justified the redirection of funds by the need to support military partnerships, but FABC believes that such decisions must be made with transparency and consultation with patient organizations.
