On Sunday evening, in Brăila, a bus registered in Ukraine, carrying 24 passengers, overturned in a ditch after the driver lost control of the steering wheel. The incident occurred at the exit from Brăila towards Galați, and due to the large number of passengers, the authorities activated the Red Intervention Plan. The driver, aged 48, was tested with a breathalyzer, the result being zero. All passengers were evacuated safely, and 7 of them required medical attention, of which 5 refused transport, while 2 were taken to the Emergency Room with mild symptoms.
The Red Plan was deactivated after about an hour, and the travelers were subsequently transported to the customs in Giurgiulești by other buses. The police continue investigations to determine the causes of the accident.
