In Bucharest, employees from the Pension Houses and the Ministry of European Investments and Projects are organizing protests against precarious working conditions and income cuts. Ionuț Marinescu, president of the National Federation of Social Solidarity of Labor, underlined that salaries are among the lowest in the budgetary sector and the protests will continue throughout the week. The MIPE union is also calling for the current level of pay for staff involved in the management of European funds to be maintained. The government's proposed fiscal-budget bill limits pay increases for employees in these areas.
