The Bucharest City Hall has announced the temporary closure of the Zoological Garden between July 18 and July 20, 2025, due to the damage caused by the storm on July 17. Necessary works include removal of fallen trees and repair of the protective fences. All animals are safe and being supervised by specialized teams. The garden will reopen to the public as soon as conditions allow safe access. The storm also affected other areas, causing damage and casualties among the population.
