International agency Fitch reconfirms Bucharest's 'BBB minus' rating, with a stable outlook, given the city's performance and debt level.

Fitch notes that Bucharest has an 'a' credit profile, reflecting a 'medium' risk profile and an 'aa' financial profile. However, the city is exposed to refinancing risk due to a large amount of debt to be repaid at maturity. An upward revision of Romania's sovereign rating could lead to an upgrade of Bucharest's ratings.
