In the last few days, the Border Police has received multiple complaints from citizens who have been contacted by phone from unknown numbers. The calls, made by an English-language answering machine, claim that people are involved in a criminal case and ask them to press a key to speak to a 'case officer'. Police stress that these calls are scams and that they never ask for personal information over the phone. Citizens are advised not to give any details and to report the call to the authorities.
