The police in Slobozia discovered body parts in the outskirts of the municipality, which were identified as belonging to a 75-year-old woman from the locality. The case was reported on January 31, when a person noticed human remains while walking their dog. Authorities mobilized a complex operational team, conducting searches over an area of 122 hectares, with the participation of approximately 40 police officers, gendarmes, canine teams, and a drone. On Sunday, the searches led to the discovery of body parts, apparently dismembered by animals, which were transported to the Ialomița Forensic Medicine Service for examination. The investigation continues under the coordination of the case prosecutor to establish the circumstances of the death.
