The BNR has launched a new section on its website about the treasure evacuated to Moscow, providing information about repatriation efforts.

The National Bank of Romania (BNR) announced on Friday the launch of a section on its website dedicated to the Treasure evacuated to Moscow during the period 1916-1917. This initiative responds to requests to facilitate access to information about the Treasure and the actions to recover this national asset. The section contains synthesis materials available in Romanian, English, and soon, in French, relevant images from the era, and copies of original documents from the BNR archive.

The Treasure, which includes 91.5 tons of fine gold, is held by the BNR and remains an unhonored claim by the heir of the guaranteeing depositor. This action underscores the BNR's commitment to promoting the issue of the Treasure and informing the public about its history.
