Lucian Marcu, the president of the Năvodari Beach Operators Association, criticizes the ANAR's decision to reject the extension of the beach rental contracts, warning that this measure could seriously affect the future of the Mamaia Nord resort.

Marcu explained that he requested an extension of the contract on July 11, but received a negative response on October 8, without explanation. He emphasized that beach operators have invested heavily in the development of the resort, and are now facing demolition notices for legal constructions.

He also mentioned that out of the 100 beach sectors in Mamaia, 30 are unleased, which affects the average price paid per square meter. ANAR announced that it will organize new auctions for tourist beaches, where all operators will have equal chances of participation.
