Azomureș, the largest producer of chemical fertilizers in Romania, has announced the initiation of the collective dismissal procedure, initially targeting 865 employees. The company's management has confirmed that, in total, approximately 2,500 employees, including those of contractors on the platform, will be affected by this decision.

Emil Almășan, president of the Alternative 2002 Azomureș Union, stated that 620 people were already unemployed before the recent announcement. The laid-off employees will benefit from severance pay, calculated based on their length of service. This measure comes in a difficult economic context and raises questions about the future of the company and the local community.
