A fake news is circulating on social media, claiming that the monument in Păuliș, Arad county, will be demolished before Heroes' Day. The Arad County Council reacted with a criminal complaint, stressing that the information is false and aims to destabilize society. The authorities reaffirmed that there are no plans to demolish the monument, which commemorates the students' fight against the Hungarian army in 1944, and called for the punishment of those who spread such falsehoods.
