AUR has announced the submission of a simple motion against the Minister of the Environment, demanding the urgent resumption of work on the hydroelectric plants started before 1989.

AUR requests through a simple motion, submitted in the plenary of the Chamber of Deputies, the completion of hydroelectric plants from the communist period, works that were completed in a proportion of over 75%. Deputy Valeriu Munteanu highlighted that Romania has become a net importer of electricity, and the delays of the Ministry of Environment affect the energy security of the country. AUR demands an enforceable schedule for the completion of these projects and criticizes the statements of Minister Diana Buzoianu, which suggest replacing hydroelectric plants with photovoltaic parks.
