At the Epiphany service organized by His Eminence Teodosie, the Archbishop of Tomis, in Constanta, the anthem of the European Union resonated alongside the anthem of Romania. The Archbishop declared that Romania has been part of the European Union since the 3rd century, mentioning that, in fact, the foundations of Europe were laid in the 4th century AD at the First Ecumenical Council. His Eminence Teodosie, who is under investigation for pro-Vladimir Putin statements, officiated a traditional Epiphany procession, which included the Great Blessing of Water in the Tomis tourist port. At the end of the service, three crosses were thrown into the Black Sea, symbolizing the Revelation of the Holy Trinity. Additionally, the faithful received 300,000 bottles of Great Holy Water, and the archbishop will officiate other services on the same day.
