ArcelorMittal Hunedoara will suspend production starting September 5, due to high energy prices and a drastic decrease in orders, nearly 60% lower compared to 2024. The company announced that technical unemployment measures will be extended beyond September 30, for an indefinite period, to responsibly manage the financial impact on employees. The decision reflects an assessment of the market deterioration and competitive pressure from imports.
