Arad Airport is facing severe problems in the supply of fuel for airplanes, with the supply of kerosene suspended until August 12, and aviation gasoline will not be available throughout the entire month. This forces aircraft operating flights to and from Arad to take off with enough fuel to complete the return flight or to plan refueling at other airports.

A concrete example was the charter flight on the Arad-Antalya route, which had to make a stop in Bucharest for refueling. The reason why the fuel supplier cannot ensure deliveries for such a long period has not been communicated. Although there is no widespread kerosene crisis in the European Union, the supply is being closely monitored due to tensions in the Middle East. Brașov Airport has faced similar issues, but these were short-lived. This is the longest period in which an airport in Romania cannot refuel aircraft with fuel.
