Apollo111 Cinema, the newest art cinema in Bucharest, will open its doors on Thursday, in the Universul Palace, next to Cişmigiu Park. With a capacity of 128 seats, the cinema will offer screenings from Thursday to Sunday, and tickets can be purchased online. In the first weeks, the program includes award-winning feature films and documentaries, retrospectives dedicated to Romanian filmmakers, and productions for the whole family.
Manager Ioan Maxim emphasized the importance of preserving the habit of going to the cinema, especially in complicated times. Among the Romanian premieres are the documentary "Still Nia" and the feature film "Catane". Additionally, the cinema will screen international films, including "Pillion" and "The Voice of Hind Rajab". Ticket prices range from 15 to 40 lei, and people with disabilities have free access. Apollo111 Cinema will pay tribute to director Cristian Nemescu and will include a retrospective dedicated to Corneliu Porumboiu.
