The National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority (ANSVSA) imposed fines of over 8 million lei between December 1, 2025, and January 7, 2026, conducting 13,506 inspections at the national level.

During this period, 13,506 control actions were carried out, including in traffic, resulting in 1,093 fines, with a total value of 8,009,753 lei, and 580 warnings. ANSVSA issued 22 Orders for Suspension of Activity and five Orders for Prohibition of Activity, withdrawing over 28.5 tons of food products from sale. The identified deficiencies included improper storage, lack of traceability, and poor hygiene.
