The National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) has announced an adjustment of natural gas distribution tariffs, which will increase by 0.005 lei/kWh starting July 1, 2025. This decision was taken following an analysis of operators' costs and aims to maintain the balance between investment and consumer protection. The impact on household consumers' bills will be minimal, with an estimated increase of only 2 lei per month for those with an annual consumption of 5 MWh. In addition, the billed price will not exceed the ceiling set until March 31, 2026, protecting consumers against sudden price increases.
