The National Agency for Payments and Social Inspection (ANPIS) has announced that it will make an advance payment on August 7, 2026, for social assistance benefits for the month of July, as August 8 is a non-working day.

Beneficiaries who receive the amounts in a bank account will have the state allowance for children, the child-raising allowance, and the employment incentive transferred to their accounts. ANPIS specifies that the state allowance is granted for over 3.3 million children, and 146,000 parents benefit from the child-raising allowance. Those who choose payment by postal order will receive the money starting from August 10, and the rights for approximately 930,000 persons with disabilities will be paid from August 14.

Other social benefits will be paid starting from August 20. Nearly 8 million people benefit from social benefits in Romania, with a total payment volume of nearly 3 billion lei, supporting the incomes of families and vulnerable individuals.
