The National Agency for Cadastre and Real Estate Publicity (ANCPI) has recognized that the IT infrastructure is outdated, thus exposed to vulnerabilities. To modernize it, ANCPI has launched a tender for the acquisition of current equipment, including routers and firewalls. For this purpose, ANCPI will invest 5 million euros for the purchase and implementation of integrated Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) equipment within an SD-WAN architecture, which will significantly improve network security.
The project includes the analysis of the existing infrastructure, installation of equipment, and training of personnel.
ANCPI manages the cadastral-legal records through an integrated IT system, e-Terra, which will be migrated to the Government Cloud.
The government has completed the reconstruction of the infrastructure and has started security tests to ensure the functionality of the application. The recent incident was a wake-up call for the entire public administration, prompting an intensification of cybersecurity measures at the national level.
