The National Authority for Administration and Regulation in Communications (ANCOM) announced that it has identified a disinformation campaign on a social media platform aimed at creating panic and decreasing voter turnout. Accounts with inauthentic behavior were promoting false alarmist news about incidents involving high-ranking individuals. ANCOM, together with the Ministry of Interior and the Special Telecommunications Service, blocked access to the malicious pages and reported the network of accounts involved.
