ANAF has launched an investigation into a company that falsely declared, through form D112, a smaller number of hours worked compared to the actual activity and the provisions of the employment contracts.
This led to the non-payment of tax obligations for approximately 350,000 hours of work. Additionally, the company used a network of controlled companies to issue invoices without real economic content, aiming to reduce VAT and profit tax. Despite the increase in the number of employees to approximately 250, the tax obligations remained at an inappropriate level.
Inspectors observed massive cash withdrawals from ATMs, part of the funds being used for personal purposes. ANAF will notify the criminal prosecution authorities for the recovery of damages and the accountability of the individuals involved. Furthermore, ANAF emphasizes the importance of compliance with legal obligations by employers for the protection of employees' rights.
