The National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF) has introduced a digital platform that allows individuals and companies to participate in auctions for confiscated or seized goods. This initiative is part of a broader program to modernize the fiscal administration, aiming to increase transparency and efficiency in the auction process, which was previously considered bureaucratic. The platform lists various goods, including cars, land, and apartments, generating significant interest, with over 43,000,000 views for approximately 1,000 items. Auctions began on March 29, with varying durations depending on the value of the goods.
Among the items for sale are goods associated with public figures, such as a Mercedes car belonging to Dinu Pescariu and apartments linked to former mayor Marian Vanghelie. ANAF is considering expanding the platform to include the sale of debts from insolvent companies, in order to improve the recovery of amounts owed to the state. This platform is integrated with other state systems, facilitating transactions and online views.
