The president of ANAF, Adrian Nica, announced that the institution has started inspections on individuals who rent spaces on online platforms Airbnb and Booking, having access to their data. In a single county, approximately 60,000 individuals with undeclared rental income have been identified. Nica emphasized the importance of assistance from tax specialists for taxpayers with unjustified wealth.

Additionally, ANAF will introduce final video discussions with taxpayers, analyzed through artificial intelligence. The reorganization of tax inspections will allow for the selection of taxpayers based on identified risks. ANAF will conduct a study on the VAT gap and will begin inspections on individuals related to companies that have entered insolvency.

Furthermore, the institution has discovered complex networks of companies created for fraud and is considering measures against those involved.
