Recently, ANAF carried out an online action targeting over 200 non-resident companies selling goods in Romania without paying VAT. Finance Minister Alexandru Nazare announced that decisions to seize goods worth 25 million lei and precautionary measures worth 40 million lei have been issued. These companies were not complying with tax legislation and ANAF has identified 227 entities that sold goods worth more than 226 million lei without being registered in Romania. Nazare underlines the importance of the fight against tax evasion and the efficient use of data for a healthy business environment.
