An American reservist, aged 68, was found dead in an apartment in Otopeni. The doctors who arrived at the scene could only confirm the death. It is known that the serviceman had heart conditions and consumed alcoholic beverages.

Additionally, he was in a relationship with a Romanian woman and intended to re-enlist in the American Army, wanting to remain in Romania. A criminal case has been opened for suspicious death, and investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of death. Initial investigations suggest that there were no signs of violence, and the apartment showed no signs of forced entry. The results of the toxicological analyses from the 'Mina Minovici' Institute of Legal Medicine are awaited.
