A 53-year-old man from Iași died after the ambulance he was in got stuck on an unpaved road in the commune of Mădărjac, where the section was partially modernized five years ago.

In the commune of Mădărjac, an emergency call was made at seven in the morning for a 53-year-old man found unconscious in his home. An ambulance was dispatched, but it got stuck in the mud on an unpaved county road that has not been asphalted for over five years.

The crew requested help, and the town hall intervened with a vehicle and later with a tractor to unblock the ambulance. After the ambulance was freed, the doctor reached the patient but declared him dead. The county road authority mentioned that, although the section was modernized five years ago, five kilometers remain unpaved, and road conditions become impassable after precipitation. In Iași County, approximately 120 km of county roads are still unpaved. Legislators will determine the exact cause of death.
