The decision was confirmed by Amazon representatives, who announced that they are analyzing the option of closing AGI Data Services operations in Romania. Affected employees are negotiating the amount of compensation, although the company initially offered a single compensatory salary. The layoffs would most likely take place starting January 1, 2025.
