Adrian Ţuţuianu, the president of the Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP), had a meeting with Cătălin-Aurel Giulescu, the director of DGEP, to discuss the necessity of updating the Electoral Register.

During the meeting, the importance of maintaining accurate and updated data was emphasized, considering that the information is managed through several distinct records, which can lead to errors. AEP has observed that there are very elderly individuals in the records, including those over 100 years old, which requires additional verifications.

It was decided to accelerate the process of updating the electoral lists by collaborating with state institutions and local authorities. Additionally, the Collaboration Protocol between AEP and DGEP was extended for the provision of data from the National Register of Persons. Furthermore, a schedule was established for data verification, with an initial phase to clarify the situation of individuals over 100 years old within 15 days.
