German manufacturer Adidas has reported that some consumer data was accessed by an external entity through a third-party service provider. The incident mainly affected the contact information of customers who interacted with the customer service. Adidas has taken immediate steps to isolate the incident and has launched an investigation, working with cybersecurity experts, and is in the process of notifying affected individuals.
