An accident between two cars and a tram occurred in Bucharest, blocking the tram traffic.

A traffic accident occurred on Thursday on Barbu Văcărescu Street in Bucharest, involving two cars and a tram. According to the Bucharest Transport Company (STB), one of the cars was projected into the tram that was in circulation, remaining stuck on the track.

As a result, tram traffic on line 5 was halted, affecting the connection to Băneasa Airport. Fortunately, no casualties were reported, only material damages.

At the scene, police and emergency services managed the situation and worked to clear the area. The police have initiated an investigation to determine the causes of the accident. Following the incident, the route of line 605 was temporarily modified, with buses operating from the intersection of Ștefan cel Mare/Barbu Văcărescu to Băneasa Airport, to ensure the continuity of public transport.
