Last summer, the Dobrogea - Coastal Water Basin Administration (ABADL) identified 105 beach-bar type constructions on the beaches between Năvodari and Vama Veche, all operating without legal agreements. These illegal constructions were located in five administrative-territorial units: Năvodari, Constanța, Eforie, Tuzla, and Mangalia. Of the total, 86% were dismantled with the help of local police and ABADL inspectors, while for the remaining 14%, demolition actions were initiated after the modification of the initial purpose. Only one construction required court actions for eviction. ABADL will seek damages for the harm caused to the state and intends to sign collaboration protocols with local police and the State Inspectorate in Construction to expedite the process of dismantling illegal constructions.
