A nine-year-old girl suffered an electric shock of 220V on Sunday evening, in an entertainment venue in Băile Felix, within the Apollo Swimming Pool, while using a token-based simulator.
Her 11-year-old cousin intervened to help her and was taken to the hospital, but was later discharged. According to Dr. Hadrian Borcea, head of UPU-SMURD Bihor, the electrocuted girl remained hospitalized for observation, while both minors were conscious and stable.
Dr. Liciniu Venter from the Bihor Ambulance Service mentioned that the girls showed no signs of trauma but were transported to the hospital due to the risk of cardiac rhythm disturbances. Inspectors from the Consumer Protection Agency decided to temporarily close the entertainment venue to verify the legality of its operation and safety conditions.
