On Saturday, a 70-year-old British tourist suffered a cardio-respiratory arrest on a trail in the Bucegi mountains. Rescue teams arrived quickly and started resuscitation maneuvers, including the use of a defibrillator. A helicopter was also requested for medical assistance, but resuscitation efforts were in vain and the man was pronounced dead. The body will be transported by rescuers to Piatra Arsă to be taken to the Institute of Forensic Medicine.
