Almost 60% of students started the new school year without the necessary supplies, with 10% of children managing to buy only a notebook and a pen. Almost 80% of parents struggle with school-related expenses, and 30% have given up extracurricular activities due to financial constraints. Annual costs for school have reached nearly 2,000 euros, a third more than three years ago, while salaries have stagnated. The shortages are more acute among children from vulnerable backgrounds, but also among high school students.
