The magistrates decided, on Friday, to place a 54-year-old man, the administrator of a lodging unit, under judicial control, accused of issuing fictitious invoices worth over one million lei. According to the spokesperson of IPJ Maramureș, Mihaela Ardelean, the police of the Maramureș County Transport Police Office have initiated investigations for fraud, complicity in fraud, forgery in private writings, and use of forgery.
The man, who is the head of the CFR Vișeu de Jos station, allegedly issued fictitious invoices for employees in the railway transport system, causing significant damage. As part of the investigation, 27 home searches were conducted in the counties of Maramureș, Cluj, Bihor, Bistrița Năsăud, and Satu Mare to gather evidence in this case.
