The National Research and Development Institute for Earth Physics reported a medium-magnitude earthquake in the Vrancea area on Sunday at 7.15 a.m., with a magnitude of 4.0 and a depth of 130 kilometers. The epicenter was 36 km west of Focșani and affected cities such as Buzău, Sfântu-Gheorghe, Brașov, Bârlad and Bacău. It comes just two days after another earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale near Târgu Jiu.
