The tragedy took place at a private party organized at a pension near Siret. The conflict broke out between the two young people, both aged 18, over jokes and alcohol consumption. The victim was stabbed in the chest and died shortly after being taken to hospital. The assailant was taken for questioning and the case was taken over by a criminal prosecutor for investigation.
