During the Jimmy Kimmel Live! show, the actress avoided officially confirming that they might have gotten married, but acknowledged that many people were fooled by the fake AI-generated photos that circulated on social media. She revealed that even her close ones believed the images were real and were upset that they were not invited to the wedding. Roach had previously stated that the wedding had already taken place, and rumors about the couple's engagement emerged in January 2025, when Zendaya was seen wearing an engagement ring. The two began dating during the filming of the Spider-Man franchise and will appear together in Christopher Nolan's film, The Odyssey, which will be released on July 17.
