The Louvre Museum, the most famous museum in France, has announced the temporary closure of the Campana Gallery, after an audit identified structural weaknesses in the beams supporting the floor above. This gallery, which includes nine rooms dedicated to ancient Greek ceramics, will remain closed during the investigations. Although the closure is not related to the recent jewelry heist worth 102 million dollars, it highlights the security issues the museum is facing. In the past, the head of the Louvre, Laurence des Cars, has warned about the structural damages and poor conditions inside the museum, which attracted 8.7 million visitors last year. The 65 employees in the Campana Gallery are being relocated while the investigations are underway.
