The Central University Library "Carol I" will open its doors to the public on the occasion of the Night of Museums, offering guided tours in Romanian and English between 7:00 PM and 12:00 AM. Visitors will be able to discover the cultural history of Romania through stories about royalty, saved libraries, and rare manuscripts. Founded by King Carol I in 1891, the institution houses over 2,400,000 volumes and represents one of the most important academic centers in the country. Among the main attractions are the Aula, a space that has hosted numerous prominent personalities, as well as the Professors' Hall, which preserves traces of the fire from 1989. The public will also have access to the Carol I Salon, where remarkable architectural elements can be admired. At the same time, the exhibition "Great Romanian Noble Families" will bring to the forefront genealogical connections and valuable documents, offering visitors the opportunity to discover possible connections with their own families. The library's director, university conf. dr. Mireille Rădoi, emphasized the importance of the event for rediscovering Romania's cultural memory.
