Matt Damon states that the film Odyssey (2026) was the toughest challenge of his over 30-year career.

The 55-year-old actor stated that the film Odyssey, directed by Christopher Nolan, represents the greatest professional challenge of his acting career. In an interview with NBC, Damon emphasized the intense physical demands of his role as Ulysses, mentioning that the production pushed the limits of the filming crew.

Filming took place in various locations, from the beaches of Morocco to mountain peaks, and the actor described the experience as more of an expedition than a film, with much physical discomfort. Damon praised Nolan for his directing skills, acknowledging that he takes on the most difficult tasks on set, remaining calm and dedicated despite the challenging conditions.

The film Odyssey will premiere in theaters in Romania on July 17, 2026.
