Khaby Lame, the content creator with the fastest rise on TikTok, has sold his company, Lame’s Step Distinctive, for the sum of 975 million dollars to the investment group Rich Sparkle, listed on the stock exchange in the USA and based in Hong Kong. The transaction was made through shares, making Lame the main shareholder of Rich Sparkle. The agreement stipulates that, for three years, all commercial activities related to Lame's image will be managed exclusively by Rich Sparkle, with estimated revenues of up to 4 billion dollars annually due to his audience of 360 million followers.
An innovative aspect of the agreement is the creation of an AI avatar, a 'digital twin', which will use Lame's voice and face to generate content in multiple languages and participate in public events. This solution will reduce the dependence on Lame's physical presence and will enhance content production. This acquisition marks a strategic shift for Rich Sparkle, which until now has focused on financial services, and the value of the transaction reflects Lame's status as a global ambassador for top brands. Khaby Lame, at the age of 25, became famous on TikTok in 2020, evolving from influencer to digital entrepreneur.
