Julian Barnes, a British writer and winner of the Booker Prize, has announced that his novel 'Departure(s)' will be his last book, stating that he feels he has said everything he had to say. On the occasion of his 80th birthday, Barnes explained that he will not stop writing, continuing to do journalism and reviews. 'Departure(s)' explores the relationship between two friends who become lovers and then part ways, bringing together themes such as memory, love, and death. Barnes also spoke about his diagnosis with a rare type of cancer and his recent remarriage. With a career spanning 45 years, he has published 15 novels and has gained international recognition, being pleased with the impact he has had on readers.
