Director James Cameron stated in a recent interview that he may collaborate with Elon Musk, the owner of Tesla and SpaceX, despite their political differences. Cameron emphasized that the fundamental issue in creating regulations for artificial intelligence is the lack of a moral consensus among people. He explained that morality is subjective, varying between religions and political systems, which makes it difficult to find a universal moral code. Cameron mentioned that, in trying to constrain AI, people are attempting to impose moral norms on a conscious system that is smarter than they are. He also now recognizes the need to integrate it into film production to reduce costs and improve efficiency. Cameron has become a member of the board of directors of Stability AI, aiming to understand the development of technology and integrate it into visual effects workflows.
