A signed engraving by the famous Spanish artist Francisco Goya, titled 'Engagement - Caprice No. 57', will be auctioned on December 5 by Artmark, with a starting price of 8,000 euros. This work is part of a diplomatic gift given to Nicolae Ceaușescu by the King of Spain, Juan Carlos I, during the period of Romania-Spain bilateral relations, before 1989. After the Revolution, the engraving was confiscated and came under the management of the National Museum of Art of Romania, being returned to Zoia Ceaușescu in 2012. Goya is recognized as one of the masters of universal art, and works from the same series have reached prices of tens of thousands of euros on the international market.
