George Călin, the interim manager of the National Theatre 'I.L. Caragiale' in Bucharest, announced that he will leave the leadership of the institution at the end of this year, citing personal reasons. In a post on the theatre's Facebook page, he mentioned that he has already informed the Minister of Culture, Demeter Andras, about his decision and the implementation schedule, ensuring that the institution's activities will continue without interruptions.

Călin expressed respect for TNB and emphasized his commitment to the institution, wishing success to the new interim manager. He also thanked his colleagues for their professionalism and the audience for their support. George Călin took over the interim position at TNB on April 12, 2023, being appointed by the order of the then Minister of Culture, Lucian Romașcanu.
