On March 7, the Israeli army published a propaganda video on Instagram, set to the song "Take Me Out" by Franz Ferdinand, without obtaining the necessary consent. The video showcased airstrikes and soldiers celebrating American-Israeli joint actions in the Middle East. The lead singer Alex Kapranos quickly reacted, expressing his outrage on Instagram, accusing the army of using their music without permission and of arrogance.

The video was later deleted. Franz Ferdinand is not the only band affected; the Israeli army has also used other songs, such as "Macarena" by Los Del Rio and "Players" by Coi Leray, for similar purposes. In the context of ongoing attacks in the Middle East, discussions about peace seem far off, with Iran stating that negotiations with the U.S. are no longer possible.
