The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) has announced the list of participating countries in the 70th edition of the Eurovision contest, which will take place in May in Vienna, Austria. This year, the competition is affected by calls for a boycott from five countries - Spain, Ireland, Iceland, the Netherlands, and Slovenia - which contest Israel's participation and highlight the humanitarian situation in Gaza. In total, 35 countries will compete to succeed JJ, the winner from 2025. The EBU also announced the return of Bulgaria, Romania, and Moldova to the competition, after absences due to financial issues. The complete list of participating countries includes well-known names such as Italy, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.
